We recently completed one of our largest projects of the year, transforming a blank canvas within the North East’s Makerspace into a premium office for a global fast food company in Sunderland.  Our reputation for delivering office fit-outs and bespoke joinery for globally recognised brands earned us the appointment.

Spread across 18,000 square feet on a single floor, our scope included eight tea points, planters, lockers, media walls, ceiling racks, and a striking 10-metre-long reception desk.

Much of the bespoke joinery was crafted and sprayed at our Preston HQ, featuring vibrant yellow and purple finishes to create dynamic accents throughout the office. The eight tea points were designed as social hubs, while planters and media walls serve as focal points that enhance collaboration and wellbeing. Custom ceiling rafts elegantly house lights and planters, and existing lockers were carefully rehomed to support sustainability and budget objectives.

Transporting and installing such a large volume of bespoke joinery on the fifth floor posed a significant logistical challenge. Our experienced delivery and installation team ensured every element arrived safely and was installed seamlessly, on schedule. By managing manufacturing, delivery, and installation entirely in-house, JSJ UK guaranteed quality, efficiency, and cost control throughout the project.
