Installation & Refurbishment – JSJ UK provides efficient installations and refurbishment services for a wide range of interior fit out projects.
We are highly experienced in carrying out Cat A and Cat B office fit outs, and working in listed buildings and occupied buildings. Our bespoke joinery is made and installed to enhance interiors and we are able to match existing décor if required.
Commercial interior fit out projects
Many of the projects we deliver are commercial interior fit-out projects, where a business has either just moved into a brand new building or is looking to upgrade their existing workspace.
The scope of work can include bespoke joinery, fitted furniture such as desks, chairs and tables, kitchens/teapoints, breakout areas and seating booths.

Towards the end of 2021 we completed a bespoke joinery project at a stunning new work space, 36 Park Row in Leeds. The end client, Investream, wanted to bring high spec office buildings to the Leeds and Manchester market.
JSJ worked on an extensive range of bespoke joinery for the project. We created elegant feature wall panelling, and sophisticated wall divider screens to provide privacy whilst retaining the feeling of space.
A bespoke kitchenette with tea and coffee station, as well as attractive banquette and perch seating sections for more comfortable seating, were also part of the project.
JSJ designed a bespoke podium desk and a multi-functional AV shelving wall for the reception area, all in keeping with the overall interior design approach.
Bespoke workplace design:
key elements to consider
key elements to consider
- Consider productivity – It’s proven that offices with bespoke design have a positive impact on boosting employee productivity. Custom surroundings often inspire and motivate a workforce because it shows that a company cares about the environment a team works in. And if a workforce feels cared for, they will be more productive in their work.
- Employee wellbeing – Businesses have a responsibility to focus on employee wellbeing to ensure a smooth transition back into the workplace, as more and more employees are returning to the office. Boosting employee wellbeing through bespoke design includes maximising daylight, incorporating biophilic design – bringing the workers closer to nature through greenery, and softening the often quite clinical office interiors of the past with more ‘homely’ features.
- Staff retention – Quite often a bespoke office fit out project is an investment that saves a business money in the long term. Valued employees who work in inspiring environments feel valued, motivated and above all else happy. Meaning they stay with the company for longer, leading to a high retention in good staff.
