South Wales’ Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa offers a unique boutique experience, with quirky design in luxurious surroundings. When the destination embarked on a full renovation of its hotel dining area, JSJ UK was appointed by longstanding client Dawnvale to provide our bespoke joinery manufacturing services.

It was essential that the impact of the renovation on the guest experience was minimised, and so we were made aware that our installation time would be extremely limited. With this in mind, we employed the full expertise of our joinery workshop team, building as much of the fit out as feasibly possible at our Preston headquarters to facilitate a fast and smooth installation. With just 10 days on site to deliver an intricate and sizable build, fitting the scheme ran smoothly thanks to our exhaustive preparation.

The project involved working with a mix of timber and powder coated metal, as specified by the client to create a stand-out, sleek, modern but warm and welcoming feel in the dining room. Mesh doors within a timber frame draw the eye towards the considered display storage area, creating a tempting showcase for meats and wines. Working with a mix of oak veneer and solid oak, completion of the handcrafted wine store, dry ager, host station and waiter station was seamless.

All worktops, meanwhile, were crafted from an oak Versital work surface – a beautiful and practical material otherwise known as cultured marble. This was specified to elevate the overall appearance of the scheme while maintaining durability in a hardworking space.

The project was delivered within the agreed timescales, to an exceptional quality, testament to the hard work of the team and the quality of the specified design.
