As part of a £12 million, multi-year transformation aimed at elevating the passenger experience at a major UK airport, the departure lounge is receiving an extensive upgrade, including expanded seating, improved restroom facilities, and new retail and dining outlets.

Working closely with a leading construction firm, JSJ UK was tasked with creating a distinct and inviting atmosphere at the airport’s new restaurant, designed to offer a unique blend of modern brasserie and traditional city pub dining.

Using high-quality materials such as solid oak and veneered wood, the space was crafted to embody a smart, upscale vibe that contrasts with the bustling terminal.

Deliverables:

• Bespoke Joinery: Manufacture and installation of key furniture and fittings, including the bar, tables, banquette seating, and wall panelling.
• Special Features: Custom false feature windows, mirrors, fire doors, and a sleek host station to seamlessly tie the space together.

The challenge of working in a live airport environment required meticulous planning and execution.
