JSJ UK have recently been working on some amazing projects in major cities across the UK. Bespoke joinery is currently very much in demand in commercial spaces, giving the team at JSJ UK the artistic freedom to create unique, stunning joinery designs and practical solutions.

Manufacturing to specification allows us to create designs that are built around a brand and the required end results. It’s been a pleasure to work with clients who have the clear vision and ambition to create commercial spaces that have high impact on those who use them.

Eureka! Science + Discovery, Merseyside

Due to open in late summer 2022 at Seacombe Ferry Terminal in Wallasey, Eureka! Science + Discovery Museum will inspire and educate children, and provide a boost for the local economy. Focussing on the STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), Eureka! Science + Discovery is the co-creation of young people, local communities and Liverpool City Region partners.

JSJ UK were asked to create substantial, bespoke reception desks in keeping with the STEAM theme. Our hexagon shaped reception desk will provide the centre point of the reception area. With a combination of raised and low ledges, the desk provides security while also allowing access to small people. The child-like science and maths-related carvings around the exterior give the reception desk a unique look that all guests will find welcoming.

A second visitor desk was supplied with a quirky slat design that gives unique definition that is fun and less intimidating to children.

Wellington Street, Leeds

Wellington Street is a fully refurbished building of office suites across seven floors. The bespoke joinery requirements of the project complement the opulent design and high-end furnishings.

JSJ UK designed the unique reception desk with intricate panelling surround that contrasts with the marble effect desk top. The desk panelling complements the bespoke, traditional-style wall panelling in communal areas.

We also created comfortable but stylish banquette seating, and supplied signage that is unique and in keeping with the overall design of the space. In the washrooms, we designed, manufactured and installed WC integrated plumbing systems, cubicles and high-end vanity units.

Knight Frank, Birmingham

For Knight Frank’s Birmingham offices JSJ UK designed a bespoke fretwork screen that was fabricated and installed on site.

The black ornamental, geometric design with stunning red accents of filled shapes will provide an eye-catching backdrop for visitors to the offices, when they open soon. Fretwork screens are a perfect solution for partitions and can be used solely as a design element or to segregate areas of a large room.

PZ Cussons, Manchester

JSJ UK provided several bespoke joinery elements for the recent refurbishment of the offices of PZ Cussons, the company behind brands such as Carex and Imperial Leather.

Our work included the design, manufacture and installation of the reception desk and café counter. We also designed and supplied restaurant booths, the gym check-in desk, bleacher seating, bench seating, an AV wall, flexi/expanding walls, and office wall storage.
