JSJ were engaged by the principal contractor Bowmer & Kirkland to design, manufacture and install two stunning helical staircases within the Student Centre, as part of the recent £60million re-development of the University of Central Lancashire.

The Student Centre building is considered the heart of the city centre campus, offering students a place to study, socialise and access support under one roof.

The ambitious project involved intricate planning and design to ensure that all elements worked together on site and the end result matched our client’s vision.  The striking design includes integrated lighting along the handrails, providing functionality as well as a definite ‘wow factor’ when you enter the building.
