St Paul’s House, Leeds

Project: St Paul’s House, Leeds

Client: Flexible Business Interiors (FBI)

Building on our long-standing partnership with Flexible Business Interiors (FBI), we were appointed to deliver a suite of bespoke joinery works across seven floors of office space within St Paul’s House, a Grade II listed building in the heart of Leeds.

Originally a Victorian warehouse later converted into offices, the building presented a unique opportunity to blend heritage architecture with modern functionality. Working alongside principal contractor FBI, project designer Incognito, and project manager IN4M, the brief was to revitalise the space, enhancing its usability while preserving its historic character.

Our scope included the main reception area, toilet cubicles, vanity units, IPS panels on all floors, and a full refurbishment of the basement.

The reception area was designed to create a strong first impression, featuring a completely bespoke reception desk with integrated LED lighting, curved detailing, and an elegant arched form. On the second floor, we delivered a plug-and-play workspace incorporating arches, seating booths, planters, and a metal frame shelving unit – all manufactured in-house by our award-winning bespoke joinery team.

The basement was fully refurbished and now features modern changing rooms complete with vanity units, mirrors, and lockers, providing employees with high-quality facilities to freshen up after commuting by bike or on foot. We also added a compact tea point for additional convenience.

The building remained fully operational throughout the works, accommodating around ten businesses. To minimise disruption, we adopted a two-phase delivery approach, dividing the reception area into contained sections to maintain safe access for all building users.

Despite a tight timeframe and complex logistical requirements, the project was delivered on time and to a high standard, resulting in a modern, functional, and characterful workspace that celebrates the building’s rich history while supporting the needs of modern working.
