With extensive expertise in the built environment, expectations were high for the Birmingham hub of this global consultancy, which employs nearly 20,000 people across 150 countries. JSJ UK was appointed by the lead contractor, a long-term client, to deliver bespoke joinery manufacturing across three floors of their city centre office.

The brief was to create a modern, flexible workspace that supports a variety of working styles. Whether hot desking at traditional workstations or collaborating in breakout areas, our client wanted their space to cater to everyone’s needs. Our team rose to the challenge by crafting a range of bespoke joinery elements, using a blend of laminate and hardwood to seamlessly blend style and functionality.

Key features included custom-built dividing screens that sectioned off areas for meetings, quiet work, and collaboration, while also maintaining an open plan feel. Slatted ceiling panels added warmth, texture, and improved acoustics, turning a large office into a visually striking, yet practical environment.

We also created inviting tea points, adding bespoke cabinetry for filing and coat storage to enhance both the functionality and aesthetic of the space.

Careful logistical planning was critical, as we worked across multiple floors alongside other contractors, ensuring materials and equipment were delivered smoothly and efficiently.

The result? A dynamic, futureproof office designed to adapt to modern working practices. From handcrafted design elements to functional spaces that enhance both comfort and productivity, their Birmingham hub is now a welcoming and versatile environment for its people.
