We were approached by one of the North West’s most respected golf clubs to deliver a complete refurbishment of the function room toilet facilities within its clubhouse. Located on the coast in Southport, Hillside Golf Club required its dated toilet facilities to be transformed into high-quality, contemporary spaces that reflect the prestigious character of the venue, which regularly hosts functions, club events and major tournaments.

Acting as main contractor, we appointed a trusted local supply chain to support the project while overseeing all aspects of the refurbishment. Our works began with a full strip-out of the existing facilities, followed by an extension of the toilet areas to improve space and functionality. New IPS panels, cubicles, floating vanity units, flooring, and decorative finishes were installed to create a cohesive, high-end environment across all areas.

The refurbishment covered the men’s, women’s, and accessible toilets, ensuring a consistent design and finish throughout. All general fit-out and bespoke elements were designed, manufactured, and installed by our in-house team, maintaining the premium standard expected in a hospitality setting. Working from the initial floor plan, we developed the full layout and supported the client in selecting materials and finishes to achieve the refined aesthetic they required.

Although the project took place during the winter months to reduce disruption, the clubhouse remained operational throughout. Careful scheduling and planning ensured that works were carried out safely and efficiently outside operational hours where needed, while the work area was securely contained to maintain health and safety for members and visitors. A dedicated site manager was present at all times, keeping the project on track and providing regular progress updates to the client.

This project followed a successful refurbishment we delivered at Formby Golf Club several years earlier, which led to this commission through word of mouth. The completed facilities now provide a modern, high-quality environment that complements the prestige and hospitality standards of Hillside Golf Club.
