Project: Exterior works for Grade II listed private residence

We recently completed a project where we manufactured and installed new solid timber windows and doors for a valued corporate client’s private residence – a Grade II listed barn conversion in an affluent rural village in Yorkshire, where heritage is of the essence.

This appointment followed the successful completion of a fit-out at the client’s business headquarters, as well as previous remedial works on the property, we installed loft hatches in various locations to allow safe access to address damp issues, known to be common in older properties.

Our team managed the entire process end-to-end – from the initial site survey, material specification and replicating the heritage design to match existing features, through to full manufacture, delivery, and final installation. To ensure the new doors and windows replicated the building’s historic character, we used high-quality timber treated and primed to assist with the longevity.

Working in a family home, we were committed to minimising disruption and operated to a tight two-week programme. Despite persistent rainfall throughout the installation period, our team remained agile, adjusting daily to weather conditions to keep the project on track without compromising quality.

While large-scale commercial fit-outs are our bread and butter, we enjoy the challenge and creativity that come with smaller, bespoke projects like this. They allow us to showcase our craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to complex environments.
